With Brett you have that as well as the drive to continue to make Kentucky Fire Juniors the best club in the nation. Brett has a rare drive and incredible leadership skills that make a huge impact across the Kentucky Fire Teams and Organization. Jonathon Velotta
Asst. Director of Operations
Coach Velotta is a "Soccer Junkie" and it is this passion that pours into his coaching. Coach Velotta holds a USSF "A" License and has spent time as an Asst. Coach at the University of Louisville and Head Coach of Bellarmine University's women's program. His involvment with the ODP program while also coaching 3 State Championship teams, made him the obvious choice for this important position.

Techncial Director
Aside from coaching our U14 Girls Premier team, Mike leads the way as our Technical Director. Mike Dickey is an Internationally recognized soccer coach and clinician. He spent 7 years working as a National Staff Coach and Coach for the United States Soccer Youth National teams before becoming the Technical Director at KFJ. He is currently the Head Coach for the United States Youth Soccer Region II Girls Olympic Development Program. Boys Coordinator
Providing high-level coaching experience is very important for our core foundation and philosophy. Coach Helfrich has more than we need, but we're not complaining. Goalkeeper Director
After graduating from DeSales High School, Chris played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as a two year starter and now teaches what he learned there to all Fire Goalkeepers! For more information regarding Chris and his training program please email Brett Gregory directly.

Frank, like Coach Cahill played their high school soccer here in Louisville. Frank won a state championship with St. Xavier before continuing his playing career at Butler University, where he led Div. 1 soccer in multiple catagories in 2005! Joe Salem
Academy Coordinator
To understand why we hired Joe to be our Academy Coordinator, you have to first ask yourself, "Do I want my U9 player coached and developed by a dad, or by someone who has played a high level and with solid coaching experience?" So you have your answer? Well, Joe is exactly what you want with an Academy Coordinator. He has "High-Level Character" with "Same-Level Relatability"! Joe is a great addition to our club, and we can't wait to get started!





Craig Jones
Field Coordinator
Craig Jones is well, Craig Jones! One of the best hires we have ever made. Coach Jones is the winningest head coach in Hanover College history and has been the asst. coach at Bellarmine University since 2011. His lincense is a USSF "A" and if you think he's smart about all things soccer, think again! Craig, also is a faculty member, teaching in the exercise science department at Bellarmine. Coach Jones has an extensive legacy as a coach in youth soccer and has accumulated 4 state championships while coaching and developing young men.
